Better Together
V is now back in town, and it is amazing how much my standard of living has improved. I am now eating and bathing regularly, I have scrapped the science experiment that is now a clean toilet, and I am now dressing from a system of organized drawers and hangers instead of the pile on the couch method.
Now this should not be interpreted that V feeds, dresses, and bathes me. Rather, she motivates me to do all of this and more for myself. By motivate I mean she might kill me if I did not live like a civilized man of the twenty-first century.
Take for example this weekend. Saturday morning commenced with the making of something called a "to-do list". It is a mutual exercise, and by mutual I mean, she lists and I write. For the rest of the weekend, whenever I find myself with time to wander or wonder, all I have to do is look at this list, and I no longer drift about like some cloud in the breeze.
A few weeks ago, with all accountability severed by the Atlantic Ocean, I would have spent the same weekend unshowered, undressed, and unvertical, waiting on the couch for an interesting television program that would never come. And though I see the merits of such drifting more than anyone I think, I am much more satisfied and fulfilled moving from task to task instead of channel to channel, though I do it my own way, weaving a little song, dance, and drifting in between.

She is the rudder to thy ship, O captain. :)
It is amazing how alike you and Josh really are... I think he passes all days alone on the couch waiting for something exciting to happen. :) Call me!
Hahaha - sounds like a memoir of the married man. The writing is great - me likey.
This weekend we're going to Home Depot, and then Bed Bath and Beyond if we have time. But I don't think we'll have time.
