Sonnet 1: Learning Again
Last night like wind I felt the storm a climb
The swirling sounds of bolts to come fortold
A still it grew until we knew twas time
Through stressfull quiet thoughts we both grew bold
Unleashing words that sought old sores to hold
The lightening flashed from back to forth in veign
And traced shadows of old ideals to mold
Til eyes glared down at shouts and streamed like rain
That night we learned the longer quiet reigns
The long and loud of frightening storms will pour
And then a fresher air of hope remains
And skies and arms and hearts will open more
Last night I learned again what I must do
For Love the only thing I know is true
